So we have been busy! Kyle has been busy at school and I have been busy busy busy at work!! But in all this busy-ness Kyle's school through a Ball for us. It was last Friday Night, and I found out about it on Thursday when I was hanging out with Kyle's classmates. It was a formal, and since I knew that I wouldn't fit into any of my prom dresses, I borrowed one from my neighbor. We were the life of the party because of Kyle's dance moves, and we were really one of the few that could walk a straight line.Which leads me to my next subject of this blog. I can't fit into any of my prom dresses because we have a baby bump going on here! And its just going to keep getting bigger and bigger until October 14th!
I guess life will just get busier!

The Long Awaited Day!
So as many of you know, I'm in love with Girl Scout Cookies. I remember when I was a little girl I would beg my mom to buy my friends cookies, and secretly always wanted to be a girl scout because I know they probably have stashes of these cookies hidden in their cupboards for meetings. So every year I search out someone that has connections, no matter how far, to order these cookies. So this year it was my former head teller, so I ordered them, and I swear the wait was for forever! Now with Kyle and I being in school and all, we can't afford the 20 boxes that I want to buy. So I get two, of course the samoas and the thin mints. (Everyone knows those are the best). But this year I had an extra little push to really get those cookies, I NEEDED them!!! So of course I've been praying and waiting for the day for them to arrive, YESTERDAY WAS T
HE DAY!!! So I went and visited my old friends and when I got home I hid them...somewhere, (just in case Kyle reads this I cannot disclose that place). Yes I know I should feel guilty for hiding them from him, after all he is going to be the father of my children and he's working so hard so I can someday stay home with them, but I do work very hard every year finding these cookies and paying for them. So they will just have to stay hidden until I feel enough sorrow and compassion to share them with him. So now when Kyle is being so good sharing the gospel and Home Teaching, I'll be enjoying my secretive snack. Don't judge.

One thing I love about Yale...
FREE TRANSPORTATION!! So before we moved out here we were looking to find the cheapest apartment, and we finally settled that we'd rather live in the graduate apartments and have other students all around us. Thank Heavens!! I can go to work, either walking or riding the bus. Kyle has never had to drive to school because a bus is in front of our house every 20 minutes!! And after hours, they have a night bus that you can call and they will take you places. Our car is just sitting in the parking lot except when we need to go to walmart every 2 weeks. I love it!
And just a side note for those of you wondering, yes my new job is going great. It is different but they are keeping me busy and I'm loving learning all of it!!

Hip Answers!
Alright well after months of waiting the answers are finally here! Some good some bad. So all of this is a result of a dislocated hip when I was 10 years old. So in the MRI the doctor said that I had some tearing of the lining of the cartilege on the ball of my hip. So they called it a torn labrum. Good news, the femur hasn't "died" so I don't need a full hip replacement. Bad news is that there is really nothing I can do about it, because this condition is fairly new that they don't really have a surgery to reattach the cartilege for the hip. So I'm kind of in a rut just waiting for a new surgery. Just thought I would let all you guys know the results!!! Thanks for all of your support!

Brawl on the ICE!
So Makayla and I have discovered how much fun watching hockey can be! Last week we went to the Yale vs. Princeton game with our friends Matt, Nicole and Chloe. We had a blast and Yale ended up winning! We had a blast. It was fun watching Chloe having a good
time. The great part was that we sat on the front row on the level of the ice just behind the goal! We had a good time banging on the glass and watching the players get checked into the wall right in front of us.
When we couldn't get into the sold out Yale vs. Harvard game last night, we walked down to the rink tonight to watch the Yale vs. Dartmouth game. Boy o' boy was it a thriller! We even sat in the same place! Yale was down 0-1 at the end of the first period. Then they scored two goals in the second and held off Dartmouth until the last 30 seconds of the third period. Dartmouth had been pretty feisty all night but Yale wouldn't take any of it. With 3o seconds left Dartmouth pulled their goalie so they could have 6 offensive players to try to tie it up. But in a frenzy, a Yale player broke free on the ope
n net of Dartmouth and scored making it 3-1 with about 24 seconds left, then the ice went NUTS! Their were helmets, gloves, sticks and referees flying everywhere! One Dartmouth player got ejected then, then after the game at the "good game" line-up, a few more punches were thrown and another Dartmouth player got escorted from the ice by the refs! It was a great game and it happened all within feet of us, but luckily behind a wall and some thick glass. (Which almost fell over after the final goal because of all the excited fans banging on the glass!) Anyway, we had a great day! We love living so close to so many things. We just walked down the road to the game!

New York City!
So we've been here for almost 6 months now, and with New York city just an hour away, we thought it was time that we went and did the tourist thing. We decided that we were going to see the city one stop at a time, we are here for 2 more years so we have time. So we woke up early on Dr King day to go to Time Square and Central Park.
Well not that early, but we still look tired. So we got to Time
square and we went to the swatch stor
e. Kyle needed a new watch as a part of his "medical equipment". I suggested Walmart, but he decided that nothing short of a swatch will do. So here we were with 5 layers of clothing on in a warm store. I was just looking at watches, thinking of the possibility that maybe I'll get one, then the nice salesboys started putting the watches on my wrist. So I gave in. Here are our Valentines-Birthdays watches.
Here's a little bit of Time Square.
So once we were done with that, we decided that we should walk around Central Park. When we were in Central Park we found an ice skating rink that had a beautiful skyline of the city in the background.
And yes, I have different hats on in all the photos because I kept buying them and they became my new favorite.
While we were in Central Park we thought well since the Metropolitan is just on the other side of Central Park, we will just walk there. Well 50 blocks later...we finally got there. Plus on top of that we didn't really plan on walking so I wore snow boots, not at all walking material!! So here's our pictures!
