Spontaneity

Recently our dear friends told us about "Name your price" from Priceline.com, so I decided to check it out. I was playing around with it and one of my bids were actually accepted in Philadelphia. So I only had a few hours to get ready, packed for all three of us. Kyle got home, and he got to guess where we were going and we took off. Of course hit rush hour traffic and I think our GPS got us lost more than it found us, but we eventually got there.

Bailey was more than excited to get out of the hotel and go see the city! We got to stay at the Radisson which was pretty nice, minus the no parking.
We got to see the liberty bell which was nice, except when we got there, it was broken....lame i know.
Then we toured Independence Hall which was fun to see where our country started.
Bailey was just relaxing being pushed around the city! On our way to Reading Terminal Station where we got really yummy gyros! (And of course we had to go there, it was in the National Treasure Movie :))
Finally tuckered out, we headed back to the Hotel where we can all take naps. And I know, I think we have more pictures of Bailey than we do of Philly.
Then Sunday we went to Valley Forge, which was really pretty and has a cool history!
Bailey helped drive us home (not really but this picture was fun to take)

And then just yesterday we decided that we wanted to go camping. So while Kyle was at school I tried to get us ready and we took off to Devil's Hopyard by Old Lyme, CT (guess where Lyme disease comes from...)
As we showed up, we realized that the scouts from our ward was there, so that was fun, but we did sleep far enough away that we wouldn't have to wake them up at 7 am when Bailey wakes up. And I foolishly planned all of our meals with our dutch oven, but showing up, all we had was wet wood so we didn't get enough coals for dinner to be made. So we brought hot dogs luckily, and managed to eat one for dinner before filling up on s'mores. Bailey slept really well and didn't wake any of the neighbors up. Then for breakfast, we did get a good fire going to get enough coals, so we made cobbler for breakfast, I know healthy right? But what's camping without junk food? Those were our fun trips that we've loved getting to know the Northeast more and more before we happily leave.
And this was Bailey's chair while we sat by the fire,
She then found out that she can rock forward and pick some clovers. She's getting smarter and smarter.
